INSPIRATION

Inspiration. It’s different for everyone and comes in many forms. Experience. Dreams. Memories. Writers pull from all sorts of hidden pockets of information to craft their stories. I do a lot of research when I write. And yes, it often includes your standard history textbook, but the largest part centers around my setting. I want to feel immersed in what I write. I need to smell the salty air, touch old castle walls, close my eyes and believe I am standing where that thing happened; even if that subject is just a reflection in a pool from a time that no longer exists.

I thought it would be fun to share with you my “photos of inspiration.” They are only a small piece to the greater puzzle, but worth all the memories made.  {scroll left below}
